HAPPY NEW YEAR, NORTH RIVER CHURCH
LET SEASONS OF REFRESHING COME!
“Repent, therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19-20
Many of you have heard the sermon from this past Sunday (and hopefully, if you did not, you will find it posted on our website soon). I believe individually and corporately, we are in desperate need of revival. Every revival that has impacted lives profoundly has been preceded by repentance.
I am praying we will repent and be REFRESHED in our PASSION for Him, His Kingdom, His heart, and priorities. Daily, I read Valley of Vision, a compilation of Puritans’ prayers. Today, the writer described a wind blowing on a fire to renew the flame. He wrote: “Blow away the ashes of unbelief by the Spirit’s breath and give me light, fire, and warmth of love!”
I am praying we will repent and be RENEWED in His VISION. I believe the vision of North River Church is His vision, bathed in prayer and fasting. We desire to be people who first and foremost walk closely with Jesus. And as we walk with Him, because He is the pursuing Savior, we will pursue connecting with our community. And because love changes things, we will be set on impacting the world with His love.
I am praying we will repent and be REKINDLED in our WITNESS. Jesus said we are salt and light. He commanded that we not hide our light, but let it shine! It shines best through authentic expressions of love followed by words of truth, encouragement, and hope. We are ambassadors of Jesus bearing the GOSPEL to the world.
I am praying we will repent and be RECHARGED in our PRAYER LIFE. How much time daily do you invest in connecting with the Father? The Alliance is launching a Call to Prayer (and I would add fasting) for the first 40 days of 2026. Will you join the movement and make prayer the priority it must be!
I am praying we will repent and be RESTORED in our HUNGER and THIRST for righteousness! As the deer pants for the waters, may our souls pant (and thirst) for HIM! The Alliance Vision is ALL OF JESUS FOR ALL THE WORLD… that means ALL OF JESUS for me and you. And that means Jesus has ALL OF ME and YOU! Do you hunger to love God with ALL your heart, mind, soul, and strength?
I believe God is getting North River Church ready for our new pastor and getting our new Pastor ready for North River Church. Prayer, with listening discernment, is the key to discovering that “marriage made in heaven” as God brings HIS MAN in to humbly serve!
